Macomb Volleyball Classic schedule

The 21^st annual Macomb Volleyball Classic Invitational Tournament returns Saturday to Brophy Hall on the Western Illinois University campus.

Twelve teams will be taking part in this year's tournament with pool play beginning at 8 a.m. Pool assignments and schedules are as follows:

Orange Pool (court 1) – Macomb, BPCA, Illini West and North Fulton.

Macomb vs. BPCA, 8 a.m.; North Fulton vs. Illini West, 9 a.m.; Illini West vs. Macomb, 10 a.m.; North Fulton vs. BPCA, 11 a.m.; Macomb vs. North Fulton, noon and BPCA vs. Illini West, 1 p.m.

Black Pool (court two) – DeKalb, Sherrard, Washington and West Hancock.

West Hancock vs. Sherrard, 8 a.m.; DeKalb vs. Washington, 9 a.m.; DeKalb vs. West Hancock, 10 a.m.; Washington vs. Sherrard, 11 a.m.; West Hancock vs. Washington, noon and Sherrard vs. DeKalb, 1 p.m.

White Pool (court three) – Metamora, Payson-Seymour, PORTA and Rock Island.

PORTA vs. Payson-Seymour, 8 a.m.; Metamora vs. Rock Island, 9 a.m.; PORTA vs. Metamora, 10 a.m.; Rock Island vs. Payson-Seymour, 11 a.m.; PORTA vs. Rock Island, noon and Payson-Seymour vs. Metamora, 1 p.m.

Following pool play, teams will be placed in Round II of the tournament. Placement will be determined by records in pool play.

The schedule for Round II is as follows:

U of I (court one) – No. 1 Orange Pool vs. No. 1 Black Pool, 2:15 p.m.; No. 1 Black Pool vs. No. 1 White Pool 3:15 p.m. and No. 1 White Pool vs. No. 1 Orange Pool, 4:15 p.m.

NIU (court two) – No. 2 Orange Pool vs. No. 2 Black Pool, 2:15 p.m.; No. 2 Black Pool vs. No. 2 White Pool 3:15 p.m. and No. 2 White Pool vs. No. 2 Orange Pool, 4:15 p.m.

ISU (court three) – No. 3 Orange Pool vs. No. 3 Black Pool, 2:15 p.m.; No. 3 Black Pool vs. No. 3 White Pool 3:15 p.m. and No. 3 White Pool vs. No. 3 Orange Pool, 4:15 p.m.

WIU (court four) – No. 4 Orange Pool vs. No. 4 Black Pool, 2:15 p.m.; No. 4 Black Pool vs. No. 4 White Pool 3:15 p.m. and No. 4 White Pool vs. No. 4 Orange Pool, 4:15 p.m.

Admission for the day is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Concessions will also be available.
